CBS All Access Announces Major Re-Branding To Create “Super Service”

CBS All Access has done a nice job of doing a lot of things that not a lot of other streaming services do. Everything from live sports (if we had sports) to a daily animated series in the form of Tooning Out The News which has had several segments go viral, the service has a nice catalog of originals to go along with an upcoming slate that is getting just as serious as anyone else.

Kicking off August 6th, the series premiere of Star Trek: Lower Decks, then in early 2021, we’re getting Brad Neely’s Harper House.  The premiere of that series appears to be timed with an early 2021 rebrand of some sorts which looks as though it’s starting to already take hold for subscribers of the current rendition of CBS All Access.

Now, the service looks closer to a Hulu or Disney+ in it’s presentation, with channel icons for notable brands like MTV, Comedy Central, and others with a growing collection of the now combined ViacomCBS library featuring the likes of Celebrity Deathmatch, Beavis and Butt-Head, and Drawn Together. Additional originals spanning the ViacomCBS portfolio of brands will be announced in the coming months.

Note, ViacomCBS also has PlutoTV, one of the largest free-streaming TV services in the world that features the likes of Crank Yankers and the first ten seasons of South Park. The company is well-positioned to be effective by next year.
