Bubbleblabber’s Spring 2023 Adult Animated TV Preview

The Spring 2023 TV season is near, so we’ve compiled a list of all of the adult animation premieres that have been announced thus far for cable networks, streamers, and more. This list may be updated/changed depending on announcements and includes pages for April and May of which we are expecting more announcements coming down the pike.

Created by Abdulaziz Almuzaini and Malik Nejer, the series follows the comical adventures of the mischievous citizens of Masameer County. In season 1 of Masameer County, which debuted on Netflix in June 2021, we saw the Masameer team heading into a long-standing tribal feud, a media war, and a health craze gone too far. Season 2 builds on the first season promising further exciting stories and humorous entertainment for fans alike.

This series is brought to you as part of Netflix’s five-year exclusive partnership with Saudi Arabian animation studio Myrkott, signed in 2020 to bring viewers Saudi-focused shows and films. Masameer County season 2 will be available on Netflix in 190 countries on 2nd March, 2023.

“KIFF” is a nutty animated buddy-comedy about an optimistic squirrel Kiff and her chill bunny bestie Barry. From creators and executive producers Lucy Heavens and Nic Smal, the series follows Kiff and Barry as they navigate school, relationships and their often-eccentric community in Table Town, a world where animals and magical oddballs tackle day-to-day life together. Inspired by the people and places Heavens and Smal experienced when they were growing up in Cape Town, South Africa, each half-hour episode, comprised of two 11-minute stories, includes a new original song.

MotorTrend Group, a Warner Bros. Discovery company, will premiere the MotorTrend Original Series SUPER TURBO STORY TIME on March 14 across the brand’s television and streaming platforms. MotorTrend’s first animated show, developed in partnership with award-winning animation production company Titmouse, celebrates car culture through a celebrity-storyteller format featuring boisterous, over-the-top adult animation that both seasoned car fans and audiences new to the automotive world can enjoy.

The fun, comedic series will launch with a two-episode premiere of back-to-back airings on Tuesday, March 14 at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MotorTrend TV. It will also be available on the MotorTrend+ streaming service the same day. The series will continue with half-hour blocks on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. The first episode is available free on MotorTrend+ without a subscription.

The half-hour animated series Digman! is set in a world where archaeologists are massive celebrities and the coolest people on the planet, with Samberg providing the voice of the protagonist, Rip Digman. In addition to the previously announced principal cast, the show will feature guest performances from Clancy Brown, Andy Daly, Cole Escola, Harvey Guillén, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Marc Evan Jackson, Rachel Kaly, Kerri Kenney, Lauren Lapkus, Jane Lynch, Mike Mitchell, Kyle Mooney, Claudia O’Doherty, Lennon Parham, Daniel Radcliffe, Maya Rudolph, Paul Rust, Jason Schwartzman, Carl Tart, Joe Lo Truglio, and Edgar Wright.

These 8 short films were produced as part of the inaugural HBO Max X Warner Bros. Discovery Access Animated Shorts Program, which aims to champion underrepresented artists in primetime animation. This initiative is part of a suite of best-in-class pipeline programs under the WARNER BROS. DISCOVERY ACCESS brand, which serves as a powerful conduit connecting underrepresented talent to our content and brands.
