British Folks Can Star in Their Very Own ‘Simpsons’ Couch Gag at the Birmingham Comics Festival

Simpsons on Sofa

This weekend is the Birmingham Comics Festival, and the attractions include an opportunity to sit on a couch alongside members of the Simpson family.

In addition to the chance to mingle with a plethora of writers, artists, cartoonists, and cosplayers, there will be photo opportunities where con-goers can be featured against a backdrop of a number of themed rooms, including The Simpsons living room, where fans can sit with them on their iconic sofa.

Elsewhere at the festival, Rogue Creations SFX and Doctor Who cast & crew members will have panels, and other attendees will include reenactment groups like the Star Wars costuming group the United Kingdom Garrison (UKG) of the 501st Legion, the Battlestar Galactica (BSG) UK Fan and Costuming Club, the Official Brit-Cit Justice Department, as well as GingerSnap, The Tattooed Deviant, and The UK Bodypaint League – which features face and body painters, photographers, and models.

A spokesman added: “Lots of activities, live drawing sessions and signings from star guests, creative team reunions, large screens throughout offering new comic news on the day, good food at reasonable prices, free parking, and so much more besides, the Birmingham Comics Festival is going to be an absolutely brilliant day out for all the family.”

The Birmingham Comics Festival will take place at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on April 18. For tickets and additional info, visit www.thecomicfestival.com.
