Breaking…RIP Monty Oum

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Monty Oum of Rooster Teeth. The RwBy creator and head animator of Red vs Blue had passed away from complications due to an allergic reaction brought on by a routine medical procedure.

Monty was pronounced dead yesterday @ 4:34 pm @ 1pm. We pass along our condolences to friends and loved ones. Gonzo had a chance to interview Monty two years ago and by all accounts he was a really cool dude. I had the opportunity to attend the RwBy panel at last year’s New York Comic Con and you could tell that he was such a beam of light whenever he talked of the franchise.

Monty was 33 at the time of his death. However, his talents will be remembered for eons.
