“BoJack Horseman” Revival Could Go Either Way According To Show’s Star

Will Arnett is still hitting the road hard for his new LEGO Master game show he is hosting that airs a new episode tonight @ 9 pm ET/PT only on FOX. Will is also producing a series for BBC called The First Team, but it’s the recent conclusion of BoJack Horseman that’s getting all of his ink. For starters, he seems to be going both ways on whether or not the series is returning. On one hand, he’s made peace with the show’s future if anything should happen. On the other hand, he tells Variety that perhaps characters derived from BoJack Horseman could return in some capacity for future iterations of the series. Here’s what Will told Variety:

“It’s bittersweet. I feel satisfied with what we did. [Creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg] is an incredible writer and I feel fortunate I got to be a part of something like that, and ride his coattails a bit.”

“Last week, we had a little screening in L.A. and Raphael, [Paul F. Tompkins] and [Aaron Paul] and I were talking. We were like, ‘What (else) can we do?’ We’re always doing that because it’s hard to let go,” he says.

“You do so many things over the course of your life and (when) you realize you’re part of something that’s really quite special, it’s important to take a moment to recognize it. It’s been a cool, weird time.”

Clearly, the decision could be out of the hands of the series stars and producers, and we can’t pretend like the cancellations of both BoJack Horseman and Tuca & Bertie didn’t happen as a result of the producers unionizing, for better or for worse. It’s the reality of the business, and one we have to accept.
