BOING BOING TALKS TO ALEX HIRSCH ABOUT GRAVITY FALLS
There’s no new Gravity Falls tomorrow night on Disney and I’m in withdrawals already as the show is in serious contention for our 2012 Editors Choice Awards for Best New Animated Series. The show is fresh, funny, adventurous, and with a great voice cast behind it, and recently creator Alex Hirsch was in an interview with BoingBoing.net where he lets slip about an upcoming episode where we evidently are getting a Street Fighter character!
Which episode was the most fun for you to make and why? We recently did an episode featuring an old-school arcade game character who enters Gravity Falls. It was awesomely animated by pixel animation genius Paul Robertson, who was lots of fun to collaborate with. Fans of Street Fighter and seeing Dipper get roundhouse kicked in the face will not be disappointed!
Sounds like Ryu, but we can only guess for now as there is NO new Gravity Falls scheduled for the foreseeable future.
