Bernstein plays Kingpin in Netflix’s Daredevil and it’s hysterical

Some Spoilers Below

If you haven’t already you should do so, but Netflix’s Daredevil series is rather incredible and probably one of the best new shows of the year if not the best. Charlie Cox is doing for the titular role on par with what Christian Bale did for Batman and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s answer to Heath Ledger’s Joker from Dark Knight. The visuals are dark and creepy, the fight scenes are Crouching Tiger-esque, and Fulton from The Mighty Ducks has some rather witty remarks.

In any case, much to my surprise was seeing Crash & Bernstein’s Cole Jensen playing the role of a younger Wilson Fisk (aka Kingpin) and boy is it hysterical. The son of a bitch grabs a tack hammer and smashes his dad’s head in. That may seem normal to you, but for me having watch this kid go from a Disney XD series talking to a Muppet to that of the younger version of one of the darkest characters you’ll see on TV was rather humorous. Hell, as the scene was happening I was looking for Crash to pop-up SOMEWHERE to help out.

That said, it’s good seeing Cole Jensen is getting work post the cancellation of Crash & Bernstein. The name of the Daredevil episode in question is called ”Shadows in the Glass” and is available now on Netflix.
