“Attack on Titan” Season Three To Go On Hiatus Starting Next Month

Look, no one wants a Scout with Carpal Tunnel.

To the disappointment of many, it seems the current season of Attack on Titan will take a pause for the time being. For those who have been following the subbed releases over at Funimation, this has already started, but dub watchers (who have only seen up to 8 dubbed episodes of the current 12) still have a few more weeks to enjoy the show over on Toonami. No word on what Adult Swim’s action cartoon block will replace the show with, but whatever they choose will be coming to us around late November.

Fans of slaughtering giant naked people won’t have THAT long to wait, luckily, since a return date has already been announced for the sub: April 2019, around the time the Spring Season of anime will be beginning. While the wait will be torturous for some, breaks like these allow the studio more time to polish up the future episodes and make the finished product of consistent quality. This has become more common for many long-running shows like My Hero Academia probably something others like Black Clover should probably pick up on by now.

No word on when the dub of Attack on Titan will return, as Toonami’s schedule is more dependent on what they have playing at that point in time and what can open up a spot for AoT to take. My guess would be Diamond is Unbreakable, since that’s estimated to end around late May, but it’s hard to be certain for now.
