“Archer” Creator Would “Selfishly” Love To Play A Game Based On His Series

Could it happen?

On a recent conference call with the creator of Archer, I had a chance to ask Adam Reed about the prospect of possibly seeing the franchise continue in another medium, be it film or as a video game. Obviously, Adam’s focus is on season nine, and yes, the possibility remains open to visit other noir-type settings post “Dreamland”, Adam noted that he’d love to see the animated television series continue in different ways after the show’s tenth and final season.

“Selfishly I’d love to play an Archer video game,” says Reed, “I’d love to see a sprawling epic movie as anything this voice cast lend their talents to I think would be just great”.

It should be also noted that while Reed confirmed that Archer would be done by season ten, he did leave open the possibility of revisiting the characters of Archer after several years have passed. Here’s what Jon Benjamin (voice of “Archer”) had to say about the subject when I brought up the possibility of the franchise going into a different medium.

Archer: Dreamland wraps next Wednesday night @ 10 pm ET/PT only on FXX.
