Apple Jumps In With “Bob’s Burgers” Creator For “Central Park”
Not to be confused with South Park.
In a competitive bid that also included Netflix and Hulu after FOX passed on it, 20th Century FOX’s Central Park has been picked up for a two season, 26 episode, order by Apple with a slated premiere set for sometime between March and Summer 2019. Central Park is a new musical animated comedy created by Loren Bouchard and co-written by Nora Smith and Josh Gad. The series stars Gad along with Leslie Odom Jr., Titus Burgess, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Daveed Diggs and Kathryn Hahn and it follows Central Park-based family caretakers that save the park and the world…almost sounding like an older-skewing Regular Show.
Our Take
The idea for the series is rather exciting, showcasing that Apple is showing some gusto for picking up something that’s a bit atypical of what is normally produced at 20th Century FOX. Loren Bouchard has fantastic experience in helping produce musical numbers, so Apple may have something special on its hands.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
