Ant-Man Animated Series For Disney XD Looks Excellent

It looks great, but we have some reservations.

Ant-Man sucks ass on the Disney XD’s Marvel Avengers and Ultimate Spider-Man, which is rather typical of the Marvel animated shows that show up on Disney networks. But, THIS one looks killer.

Produced by Passion Pictures, a new six-part Ant-Man animated shorts series is coming to Disney XD, Josh Keaton will voice the titular character who will also be fighting alongside Wasp, Hank Pym, all the while keeping Cassie safe (so obviously, we’re getting some sort of a derivation of the live-action movie franchise…uh oh).

The series of shorts have a bizarre scheduling which you can see over on Entertainment Weekly along with a bunch of stills for what looks to be a great series, but the fact that the plot sounds a lot like the Edgar Wright-written film from a couple of years ago has me thinking the guts are gonna resemble the pile of shit we get from the Guardians of the Galaxy series on Disney XD.
