AnimeNYC 2019 Recap: Sentai Filmworks

Sentai has a few notable box releases, particularly of two popular shonen titles. Haikyuu Season 3 is available in a collectible box set to come December 31st, which comes with an art book, collectible cards, a sketch booklet, and a variety of Japanese PVs. Food Wars is also set to get a box set release on February 25th 2020, which includes a pin, notepad, micro towels, and is shaped to look like a bento box. The panelists noted that it will fit the other box sets as a result.

There were a few titles down for dub releases. Bang Dream Season 2 is officially set to get a dub, and production will start in 2020. The panelists said to stay tuned for more details at a later date.

Run With The Wind is also set to get a dub release, although that is still just listed as a ‘coming soon’. Still, this was a response to popular demand, especially on social media, and the crowd responded accordingly.

O Maidens In Your Savage Season will also air soon, much to the crowd’s excitement. It will debut on December 20th on HiDive.

There was also a surprise throwback title: To-Love-Ru the first season is set to get a dub. While it will be officially released on March 31st, 2020, it is available to be pre-ordered come December. They also announced some of the dub cast, including Ry McKeand as Rito, Alexis Tipton as Lala, Bryn Apprill as Haruna, Scott Gibbs as Zastin, and Brittney Karbowski as Mikan. David Wald will be in charge of the script.

Lastly, Made In Abyss has another installment, in the Dawn of the Deep Soul movie. The Japanese release will be in a roadshow format on January 17th, 2020. No official announcements have been made for the English release yet, although it will likely be sometime in 2020.

Altogether, short but sweet panel, straight to the point.
