Adult Swim News: New Music Videos For “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” & “Rick and Morty” Plus News On “Tender Touches” & More

We told you guys a couple of weeks ago that Adult Swim was launching a number of commencement speeches to help welcome graduates into the hard knock life that is living on this planet, and now we’ve got one featuring an old friend that seriously needs to be back on a more regular basis, Mr. Carl Brutananadilewski.

The former star of Aqua Teen Hunger Force is here to give his two cents, and it’s highly recommended that you disregard every part of it. Enjoy!

An update to our earlier report of the return of the Max Simonet/Dave Bonawits-created series, Tender Touches 3 will premiere Midnight ET/PT only on Adult Swim starting June 15th to kick off a five-night premiere that will start with the episode “That’s A Wrap” which was part of the sneak peek on April Fool’s Day. That said, do not expect any operetta episodes this time around.

Synopsis:

A very relatable soap opera wherein a love triangle leads to the ultimate discovery of self.

Last Saturday’s block of Toonami featured the music video premiere for “I’m A Joe Star” by Open Mike Eagle, a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures-inspired music video to help support the new Adult Swim Single that will be released July 27th.

The video is essentially a sizzle reel with Open Mike Eagle’s song thrown over the top of it, but this wouldn’t even be the first time the “art rapper” had collaborated with Cartoon Network because he previously appeared in the tenth season of Adventure Time in an episode entitled “Son of Rap Bear” , as a rapping gingerbread man.

I’m still picking my teeth up off of the floor from the jaw-dropping season four finale of Rick and Morty which was by far the best episode of the season. The ending scene featured a dour Rick wondering about his place in the world as the song “Don’t Look Back” written by Ryan Elder & Kotomi (who also does the vocals) played over the top. Adult Swim has since released a lyric music video that isn’t as good as the episode in which it was intended and instead seems a bit try-hard. In any event, the episode itself was fantastic and you should watch it now.
