The previously announced “Fena: Pirate Princess” from Production I.G.

Now delayed until 2021, here’s the teaser trailer for the 4-part Adult Swim original anime adaptation of Uzumaki, coming in 2021. Directed by Hiroshi Nagahama w/ music by Colin Stetson and based on the works of Junji Ito, who has often been described as the “The Stephen King of manga”.

Along with a fun interview with Uzumaki’s director Hiroshi Nagahama in regards to the unusual style choices that will be used for the anime itself.

An unexpected “anime” short of Rick and Morty called “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider”

And finally, Toonami’s latest schedule change starting August 1st.

Our Take

I’m glad Adult Swim did coverage on more than just their standard programming as they also know the Anime Fans are equally as important in terms of an audience. The lineup is unexpected but it remains to be seen if we’ll get new Jojo: Golden Wind episodes in the future. Also, Uzumaki sounds like it’s destined to be a classic with an artistic edge. And finally that Rick and Morty short was unexpected but very welcoming.
