Adult Animation Gets Representation At GLAAD Awards 2021

Big Mouth and Harley Quinn have both been nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series for GLAAD Media Awards 2021.

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community and the issues that affect their lives.

For the show’s fourth season, Big Mouth had introduced a trans character that got rave reviews which was a big difference from the show’s third season where the series was criticized for attempting to explain pansexuality. As for Harley Quinn, the series prominently featured a gay relationship between Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn that showcased the couple’s up and down struggles as they also attempt to take over as the Queenpins of crime for Gotham City.

Both series have been renewed for additional seasons, with Big Mouth getting multiple season renewals for Netflix and Harley Quinn announced for additional seasons for HBO MAX.
