Action Figure Therapy doing some house cleaning

Yep, it looks like the producers of Action Figure Therapy are making some changes around the house hopefully for the better. After the jump we have the statement with analysis.

 

Action Figure Therapy by Dan Bialek is a rather hysterically written show and the concept is brilliant. Let’s take a bunch of action figures and let them vent on Youtube about all of their action figure problems. The formula is one that has lead to a very successful franchise that now includes merchandise, mobile apps, and MILLIONS of views. Despite all of the success the show has had the producers of AFT recently put out a press release announcing a bunch of changes are on the way:

For those of you interested, yes, the voices of AFT’s Snow and Jungle characters have changed and are now being voiced by different voice actors than they were before.

The previous actor who voiced these characters is no longer affiliated or working with Action Figure Therapy in any way whatsoever.

We have nothing good or bad to say about this. It’s just the way it is and the way it had to be.

All of the characters, dialogue and storylines on AFT have always been a collaborative effort by ALL of the very talented comedians, writers and voice actors who work on the series.

No one person has ever been the creative voice or driving force behind any one character. Even the more popular ones.

In fact, some of the funniest and most memorable lines from Jungle, Snow, Ranger, Marine, etc. have come from other AFT staff members who don’t even voice that particular character.

We believe that the characters we’ve created are bigger than any one cast member. And that no cast member is irreplaceable. Although we are very grateful to have had and to have such a great group of people working on the series as we do.

We understand that a lot you folks don’t like change. And we’ll do our best not to change or “fuck up” any more this series that you all enjoy so much.

Snow is now voiced in a completely different way (deeper and for lack of a better phrase, much blacker). Jungle will continue to be voiced as similar as he was before the recasting way as he was before. The new actor doing the voice is still finding his feet with the character. But he’s also very talented and we are confident he’ll be up to speed in no time.

We apologize for boring you with this inside information about the series. However, you all have been such a supportive fan base and many of your have commented here and on Youtube asking what happened to Snow and Jungle that we felt we owed you an adequate explanation. Or, at least as adequate of one as we could provide here in this post.

We hope you will bear with us during this time of transition. And if the recent changes are just too much for you, we thank you for having been a fan of our series and wish you the best wherever you happen to head off to next.

P.S. For anyone thinking about posting a bunch really mean, hateful and melodramatic comments down below, before you do please realize that there are about a million worst things going on in the world right now than a couple of the characters’ voices on a foul-mouthed web series that you like being recast. So, maybe before posting a rude comment try going and fucking yourself instead. 

My philosophy has always been if it ain’t broke don’t fix it but evidently the producers felt something was broken so they decided to make some changes. No matter what, I hope the change of voice actors will still bring us quality entertainment that we will be able to laugh hysterically at for the foreseeable future.
