ABC To Air Documentary Inspired By Late Cast Member For “The Simpsons” Phil Hartman
On Thursday, September 19th @ 9 pm ET only on ABC, we’re getting a two-hour documentary entitled The Last Days of Phil Hartman. It’s been 20 years since Phil was part of a grisly murder-suicide that took one of the funniest to ever do it off of this planet. Phil is best known for not only his stellar work on Saturday Night Live, but he was also a long-time voice on The Simpsons most notably as Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz.
As part of the documentary, executive producer for The Simpsons, Al Jean, will make sure Phil’s importance on the longest-running animated series in primetime is well-known. We can only guess where Phil would be today had he not passed, but I’m willing to bet he’d still be on The Simpsons.
Watch a trailer below for Thursday Night’s special premiering next week.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
