The Simpsons made an appearance in the extreme sports video game genre in 2002. The Simpsons Skateboarding sees the town of Springfield reimagined for the Annual Skate Tour. The game includes nine playable characters like Nelson Muntz, Krusty, and Chief Wiggum, each with a unique set of skills. There are multiple skill competitions, including head-to-head, trick contests, and free skate. Despite the popularity of skateboarding games at the time, Simpsons Skateboarding was met with negative reception. And, like The Simpsons Wrestling, it is considered one of the worst games of all-time.
