Marge gives Homer a pass on the day of love, so Homer and Bart decide to do a bunch of guy stuff to celebrate like hitting up the arcades(remember those?), going to the batting cages, and more. Meanwhile, Lisa and Marge decide to go out to dinner where Lisa falls for a guy named Nick and gets into a habit of ditching her mother while Marge wants to do more mother-daughter activities even going so far as to stop Lisa from spending so much time with her new found interest. To help fight back, Lisa enlists Abe Simpson to take her and Nick out of town so that they can be together, but as with all of Mike Cera’s movies it turns out Nick isn’t who he says he is and Lisa breaks it off.
Its Valentine’s Day in Springfield and Bart and Milhouse decide to be Mythcrackers and set on a quest to debunk a bunch of Springfield’s myths. Weird thing is Bart keeps making Milhouse the guinea pig of disproving myths to the point where they eventually disprove them all, making the school lame again.
The intro was great but it was all down hill from there. Mike Cera is terrible in everything he stars in and this is no exception, as the writers basically rehash all the other “Lisa Falls in Love Stories” and mix it with Mike Cera’s classic rendition of “nerd guy, falls for girl, but he’s not a ladies’ man so he makes himself seem cool”. The Mythcrackers was OK, but short, and constantly interrupted by the terrible Lisa/Nick storyline. Here’s hoping episode 500 is better…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
