46th Annual Annie Awards Announces Nominees

The 46th Annual Annie Award nominees have been announced and yes, like most years, they are confusing. With nominees pretty much in every category mixed with both family-friendly and adult affair, this awards show continues to show that it hasn’t a clue as to what it’s doing. In any event, movies like Isle of Dogs are well-represented in multiple categories as are TV series like Big Mouth, F is for Family, and The Venture Bros, all of whom are among the list of noms. Most of this show is technical, and I’ve never understood the concept of awarding a series from a single episode as a submission as opposed to the whole season where you can accurately give kudos to additional producers that are left out in the dark.
