English Dub Review: Assassination Classroom the Movie: Our Time
As part of the series’ 10th anniversary celebration, Assassination Classroom the Movie: Our Time brings Class 3-E back for a new adventure while expanding on the original story. Rather than being just a commemorative project, manga creator Yusei Matsui stated that the film serves as a continuation of the main narrative, featuring a collection of episodes that were left out of the anime due to time constraints. With only fifteen days remaining to assassinate Koro-sensei, the students reflect on their unforgettable year together, looking back on the lessons he taught them, the support he gave them, and how much they have grown since the beginning of their journey.
On the technical side, this film was produced by Studio Lerche and directed by Masaki Kitamura, with Makoto Uezu handling the screenplay and Aya Higami providing the character designs. The film’s music was composed by Yoshiaki Dewa and Toru Ishitsuka, while Tomonari Sora performed and composed the main theme song “Teacher.” The movie also features the insert song “Machinegun to Rashinban” by 3-nen E-gumi Utatan.
