English Dub Review: The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt “The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Library Assistant/The Time She Spent Lunch With the Klutz”

Overview:

Poem meets the handsome librarian who’s mousey when away from his books. Then she looks for her missing lunch.

Our Take:

In this episode, we’re introduced to another disciplinary committee member by the name of Tsukishima. When we first meet him, he’s incredibly handsome and outgoing. But when Sakuradaimon introduces Poem to him in class, we see a completely different person. He’s short and looks like a mouse. The second he enters the library, however, we’re treated to a magical girl-style transformation as he becomes the man we were originally introduced to. I thought this was hilarious, and I hope we get more wacky disciplinary members.

I’d like to see the romance go a little further than what we’ve gotten so far, but I think that might be because I’m spoiled this season. There’s a lot of great romance anime this season, and a couple of them even have the main characters enter a relationship within the first episodes. I don’t see that happening with this, but I would like to see Poem admit she likes Sakuradaimon. She’s a smart person, and I think she already knows. For a show like this, characters and comedy are massively important, and so far, it’s succeeding in that regard.
