English Dub Review: A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans “The Misanthrope and the Light of Dawn”
Overview:
The advanced class gets their final assignments needed to graduate, but one student finds herself struggling.
Our Take:
I might have had a bit more success in high school if some of my finals were like what’s on offer here. Kyouka’s final was essentially a puzzle she had to solve. First, it was a crossword that gave her the keys to the next puzzle, which led to a map and so on. Unfortunately, she was struggling but refused to ask for help. In true anime fashion, all of her classmates offered to help her, but she declined because to her it was something she had to handle on her own.
No one’s final was the same. Isaki was tasked with writing a story, and Usami had to get signatures for some reason. They both struggle with these assignments for different reasons. With everyone being a demi-human, not all of them know how to read or write, so Usami has to teach a lot of them how to do that first in order to get her required signatures. Something tells me this was the spirit of the assignment.
Kyouka passed her final, seemingly graduated, and got her ring to be out in the human world. I know that we’re going to get more students in the class, but with how this episode was framed, I wonder if students will leave the classroom as it progresses.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
