English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “Wang Zukang’s Feeler”

Overview:

Wang Zukang’s investigations into his teacher’s whereabouts lead him to Wang Ling’s house.

Our Take:

Sometimes this show is one of the hardest for me to review. With each episode having such a short runtime, that means the pacing can sometimes be extremely fast. If you watch the first two minutes of an episode and the last two, you might wonder “how did we get here?!” Surprisingly, this episode was the exact opposite. It was the in-between parts that weren’t related to what happened at the beginning. But it looks like there’s a villain out there that looks exactly like Wang Ling, and that could lead to some interesting developments later on.

As for this episode, it looks like after his successful book, Wang Jiao has quite the fan club. Multiple people come over looking for an autograph, but all are left to wait while he’s working. As for Wang Zukang, it seems that he believes that Wang Ling’s mother might be his long-lost master. I don’t know why he thinks that or why it would only now be coming up. Surely he would have met Wang Ling’s parents for something at school. Either way, he lost focus and ended up settling for an autograph.
