Overview:

Koichi and Pop get into more trouble with Trigger, and we learn where Knuckleduster has been.

Our Take:

I hate having to say this, and I hate when technical issues ruin an otherwise amazing episode of an amazing show. We finally get to see where Knuckleduster is and what he’s been up to. He’s in Hong Kong for some reason, and I would love to tell you what that reason is, but even if they said I wouldn’t know. Since it was in Hong Kong, the characters were speaking Chinese, and they decided not to translate the text on-screen for some reason. What’s even more disappointing is the fact that I think there was a big reveal in this conversation. It seems like Knuckleduster used to be known as the hero O’Clock.

Setting my anger at the subtitle issues aside, I did enjoy the mixer that Koichi went to. Unbeknownst to him, two of the girls at the mixer were the hero Midnight and Pop-Step. Why Midnight contacted Pop and involved her in a potentially dangerous operation is a mystery, but it led to some funny moments. Koichi said all the girls at the mixer were crazy and weird, which upset Pop, since surely one of them was nice because she was one of them. He didn’t pick up on this, and while I liked this episode, the technical issues ruined it for me. It looks like we are going to get some Aizawa backstory next week, so I hope that works out a bit better.
