Overview (Spoilers Below):
Both worn out from their previous matches, the tournament concludes with Mitsuba vs Yuriko.
Our Take:
The episode’s title literally spoiled the tournament’s conclusion before the final match even began, with Yuriko being the clear winner of the competition. Not even Mitsuba and his brother have enough power to overcome her strength and wrestling techniques. Admittedly, the tournament arc in Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider remains a strong highlight of the season, thanks to its stylized animation and solid character moments. However, it would make the episode more intense if they changed the title to “Who’s the Strongest” instead, to keep viewers guessing the actual winner of the tournament. But I digress, as the episode’s title doesn’t affect the overall quality and the plot itself. From what I’ve seen in “Tackle is the Strongest”, it’s a rather compelling conclusion to the Kamen Rider tournament that further showcases the characters’ love of the franchise.
With the tournament out of the way, our focus is now set on the bigger problem at hand, as Thunder Raiko continues her quest to kill the Shocker defectors. Obviously, she’ll be going after Yukarisu sooner or later, prompting Tojima and the others to really test their Kamen Rider spirits against a threat more deadly than the Spider Man. This would’ve made for an enticing season finale, filled with entertaining action and solid comedy. But as it turns out, this whole thing is just the beginning of what’s to come, with its second cour already announced as part of the winter 2026 season. It certainly looks like we’re going to be in for the long haul in Tojima and the gang’s quest to fulfill their Kamen Rider dreams, and I’m all here for it.
