OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)Sam and Link get an unconscious Marshall to a hospital, where near death hallucination motivates him to make some big changes. Sam also decides to take the next step towards her dreams.OUR TAKEWe have now one hundred percented Let’s Play, getting all of the easter eggs and achievements, but how was its final boss of a season finale? Well, it still carries a lot of the melodrama that I don’t quite have a taste for, but at least you can say that means it’s been consistent. A lot of the development for Sam happened more or less last episode, with her and Link deciding to not move forward with a romantic relationship. And as mentioned, this opens up a spot for Angela, who it is very heavily hinted is going to take this shot eventually, based on the change in the ED including all of the characters, not just Sam and her potential love interests. But yeah, the main step forward for Sam here is just reaffirming her motivation to work on Evermake, her next game. Ruminate, her first game, seems to still be making waves among her friend group, as while Marshall went on his spiritual hallucination journey, Charles also had quite a lot of fun playing it as well, which may be part of why he is taking further interest in her. If we get a second season, it looks like it’ll at least partly be about Sam seeing if her and Charles have much of a future. Although again, I must point to this season’s OP and ED, which heavily point to Marshall, but that doesn’t mean that Sam and Charles trying stuff out wouldn’t be an interesting way to see more about them as people. There are still plenty of things we don’t know about Charles, after all.As for Marshall, it seems his sickness (broken heart syndrome, as the doctor puts it) has given him a change of heart in a lot of matters. For one, he decides to go public with his and Monica’s relationship, something he had held back for awhile, though we’ll see how that goes if we get another season. And second, he decides to help Sam with Evermake, getting back into his joy of designing characters for games instead of just playing them for streams. This puts him and Sam together for long periods of time, and it’s clear that Sam has always held some attraction to him so…that could lead to some spicy scenarios for all we know. I guess we’ll just have to find out if we get that second season, or maybe just go and read the Webtoon. For now, onto the season review!
