Overview:
While camping in the mountains, Rura hears a creepy noise. She finds that it is Yuu and Mizuka engaged in a mysterious activity.
Our Take:
I was starting to think that Rura is barely in this show for someone who seems like a main character. She’s one of the more interesting characters because, unlike some of the others, her interest in Yuu is pretty clearly romantic. Rura looks at Yuu’s lips a lot, and when Yuu takes a drink from Rura’s water bottle, she brings up the fact that it would be an indirect kiss. I don’t usually see things like that coming up in an anime unless there are feelings involved.
That’s what makes this episode annoying in a way. Rura seems like one of the only characters that is moving the plot (what little there is) in any sort of meaningful way. But she has barely been in the show, and now we’re one episode away from the end of the season. Call me crazy, but I don’t see this as a show that’s going to get multiple seasons. Next week is the final episode, and I’m hoping it brings a decent conclusion for some of the characters at least.
