Review: Krapopolis “Monster Week”

Our Take

When Dan Harmon’s other series Rick and Morty came on the scene, the one thing I remarked about was how solid the designs were for the monsters and aliens that were found throughout the galaxy. It was one of those things that looking back on I took for granted and continue to do so as that show continues to die a slow death. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for Krapopolis to pick up any of that slack you’ll be more than disappointed but at least we get a solid week of the show.

“Monster Week” ends up being one of the more enjoyable episodes of the season jam-packed with monsters and gods bickering, and a pretty incredible cast that includes the likes of Alison Brie, Adam DeVine, and how about the legend himself Mr. Ahmed Best as the voice of Gargie who turns out to be one of the more interesting monsters of the lot.

With this episode we get the last new episode of Krapopolis for 2025 and after next week it will be a while still before the show returns, but this year has been a solid rebuild year for the lowest-rated show on broadcast television. If you’re going to start this show anywhere, this is as good a place to start.
