English Dub Review: Bad Girl “In the Private Study Room / Gripping Rather Than Grabbing / In My Room”

Overview:

The girls visit the library to study for a test. There’s a sudden flash of lightning, and the school is enveloped in darkness due to a power outage.

Our Take:

The madness in which some of these girls operate is crazy to me. Yuu seems like the only one not affected by the dark when the power goes out. So she becomes a pillar of strength for the other girls, but it becomes a contest of sorts about who can get more of her attention. It’s starting to get hard to tell who’s more popular now, Yuu or Atori?

It’s not just students who are infatuated with Atori but parents as well. Yuu’s mother bumps into Atori when she’s out running errands and brings her home for tea. She forgot that she had a meeting with the neighborhood association, however, and asked Atori and Yuu to go to her room.

The problem with that is Yuu seems to have about fifty body pillows with Atori on them. I know Atori is a lot more chill than she seems, but seeing one body pillow with a picture of you on it might be too much, let alone that many. Luckily, Suzu lives next door, so Yuu throws them into her room. Atori sees them with Suzu and gets the wrong idea.
