English Dub Review: With You, Our Love Will Make It Through “Episode 3”
Overview:
Mari’s friend Ayano starts to act strangely when Tsunagu ranks at the top of their class academically.
Our Take:
I have to say, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this show, and I’m hopeful the one thing I’m worried about won’t be an issue. This episode focused less on the romance and more on how beastpeople are treated in society. Mari’s friend Ayano has always been top of the class and the only way her parents will let her do what she really wants and write stories is to maintain that position. So when Tsunagu messes everything up by coming in first place, it leads her to say some hateful things about him.
Tsunagu has also handled things surprisingly well. After being told it was his fault that Ayano was acting weird, he didn’t lash out angrily or anything, even though I think he would have had the right to. I wouldn’t say things are perfect yet by any means, but it is nice seeing others coming around to accept Tsunagu as well.
The thing that I hope doesn’t end up being an issue is that I would like Yukihiro not to suddenly gain feelings for Mari. He couldn’t figure out why he couldn’t ask her if she had feelings for Tsunagu, and I hope we don’t get a love triangle.
