Overview (Spoilers Below): Iana sneaks into town with Konoha, where she sees just how popular Konoha is, and how despised she is herself. Back at home, a man named Cheneau drops by. He’s the vice captain of the Police Security Force’s Hydrangea Unit, and he once arrested Iana on suspicion of Konoha’s attempted murder. He’s been investigating the disappearances of beautiful young ladies, and he has his eye on Iana as a suspect.
Our Take: While Iana managed to recover from her surprise illness, that doesn’t stop her from encountering more death flags. After the sister-bonding trip with Konoha, Iana comes across a seemingly new character that she doesn’t remember creating in her world-building. Like the other supporting characters, this individual, identified as Vice Captain Cheneau Clematis, is less hesitant to be suspicious of Iana. The reason is that Cheneau is investigating the disappearance of five young ladies, and he targets Iana as the prime suspect due to her history with the victims. In short, Cheneau is another character who lacks the common sense of gathering more evidence before making quick accusations. Additionally, it’s eventually revealed that Cheneau had arrested Iana before at the start of the series. It also doesn’t help that Cheneau and his Hydrangea Unit are acting as security for Duchess Suselina Amaryllis’s birthday party. Fortunately, there is a silver lining to this predicament, as Iana found herself a new friend while evading Cheneau’s watchful eye. Her new friend is Menoa Carmellia, the daughter of a mistress who’s constantly bullied by her half-sister. Of course, this is because Menoa is the only girl who’s unaware of Iana’s villainess persona, prompting Iana to redeem herself further to retain her first-ever friendship. Given Menoa’s wild personality, there’s a good chance that they might get along just fine. This is another episode that highlights Iana testing her knowledge of her world-building and her frustration over being judged as an outcast by those around her. The result? Pretty much what you expect from the previous episodes, for better or worse.
