English Dub Review: Let’s Play “Peel”
OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)
Sam talks leadership with Charles, makes plans for a date with Link, and helps Marshall with a minor inconvenience.
OUR TAKE
Looks like all three dating routes are off to the races in full force, as Charles gets more time to bond with Sam, Link successfully asks her out on a date, and she and Marshall start to reconcile to get past the whole “ruining her game’s reputation” thing. With Charles, it seems that his initial pushing of her in the early episodes was more about helping get Sam ready for being the CEO of the company they work at, something her dad has insisted will be the case, though Sam reveals that she doesn’t actually want that responsibility. It’s moments like this that kind of make the characters a bit unrelatable, considering just about all of them seem to be set for life regardless of whether they achieve their creative ambitions or not. Still, it seems like the point of this was more so Charles could push Sam to at least stand up for herself and her own personal dreams, which is hopefully going to land some points with her, especially now that they seem on much friendlier terms than they were when the show started. As for Link, he’s a solid guy who seems dependable and has got those massive arms, so he’s definitely going to be in the running, but sadly the unspoken rule of the first to confess feelings being the first confirmed to lose still seems to be in effect. Still, let’s let him enjoy this time before he loses his lead.
That just leaves Marshall, or rather Ben Lawson as his real name is revealed to be, who still seems committed to making things up to Sam, though paying her rent until the end of her lease ends up only pissing her off more than anything. We now know that he’s also from a rich family, like Sam, so him throwing money at problems makes more sense now, but even when Sam confronts him about this latest transgression, he actually yanks her into a way they can genuinely bond: gaming. Specifically, he asks her to help him with a coding issue so he can play another game, but this leads to her requesting what I expected would be the better option: playing Ruminate again, but in the way it was meant to be played. Whether that will be privately or as another review remains to be seen, but it at least looks like these two are finally rebuilding the bridge to friendship and, possibly, something more.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
