English Dub Review: Tougen Anki “Found You”

Shinya is looking for the academy students to carry out the plan he has in mind.

Our Take:

We had a bit of a break last week, but we are back and better(?) than ever! As you might have guessed, Shinya got some of his bacteria on Kougasaki, knowing that he would be rescued. That means he can see through Kougasaki’s eyes, and now he knows what all of the students look like. One thing he probably wasn’t expecting was the new Oni we were introduced to, Masumi Yodogawa. Yodogawa can go invisible for eleven seconds or so, and that could be quite the advantage.

I’m not sure where this arc is headed, but I think it’s clear that the moment we’re looking forward to is Shiki and Momodera’s conflict. Neither of them knows what the other is, and I think it’s going to be some great drama. But my main issue with it is how good the wig that Shiki wears is. He looks mostly the same, even with a different hair color, and Momodera has seen the photos. We’re only a couple of episodes into the second cour, and it seems to be picking up steam, but I’m still not quite sold on this show yet.
