An anime adaptation for Tatsuki Fujimoto’s collection of early one-shot manga stories has been officially announced. Titled Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26, the anthology series will adapt eight of the creator’s works from before his breakout hit, Chainsaw Man. The anime is scheduled to debut exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on November 7, 2025 with an English dubbed adaptation.

The project is a unique collaboration, with seven different directors and six animation studios bringing the stories to life. Each short story will have its own creative team, giving a distinct visual style to each piece. The adapted works include: “A Couple Clucking Chickens Were Still Kickin’ in the Schoolyard,” “Sasaki Stopped a Bullet,” “Love is Blind,” “Shikaku,” “Mermaid Rhapsody,” “Woke-Up-as-a-Girl Syndrome,” “Nayuta of the Prophecy,” and “Sisters.”

Tatsuki Fujimoto has gained a reputation for his unconventional and emotionally impactful storytelling, as seen in his major works like Fire Punch, Chainsaw Man, and the critically acclaimed one-shots Look Back and Goodbye, Eri. This new anthology series will provide fans with an opportunity to see the creative origins of one of manga’s most celebrated modern voices.
