Jujutsu Kaisen fans can prepare for a major return, as the highly anticipated “Culling Game” arc has been officially announced for theatrical and streaming releases. The third season of the anime, which will adapt this arc, is set to premiere in January 2026.

Before its streaming debut, a special compilation film coupled with an English dubbed adaptation titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution – Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins will be released in North American theaters starting December 5, 2025. This feature will recap the “Shibuya Incident” arc and, for the first time on the big screen, present the first two episodes of the “Culling Game” arc. This will introduce the return of Yuta Okkotsu, the protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film, who is tasked with executing Yuji Itadori.

The new season is being produced by studio MAPPA, with Shota Goshozono returning as director. The series will be streamed exclusively on Crunchyroll outside of Asia. The announcement was made during the anime’s fifth-anniversary special event, which also released a new trailer showcasing intense battles and the return of key characters.
