Our Take(Spoilers):
I’m so torn on how to review this episode. As you know, I think the ending to a series is one of the most important things. Having said that, this was one of the most visually impressive things I’ve watched since the first Demon Slayer movie. To me, animation can only carry you so far, and a top-notch story will carry you to the finish line. I stand by that belief but the animation and story was good it just didn’t… end.
Well, that’s a bit of a disengenuous statement. This episode does end, but none of the questions I wanted answered were answered. In fact, I might have more than what I started with. The death of Moon was something the public was supposed to just accept. Rock was formerly a follower of the first hero, who ended up becoming a bad guy, and now everyone thinks X is going to as well? The ending was some of the biggest sequel bait I’ve ever seen, and if we get one, then awesome! But as it stands right now, I don’t know if we will, and that leaves me a bit disappointed. Even if the hero X himself did not disappoint me one bit. That’s the only thing keeping this from a ten.
