Overview:

A new night begins as the other vampires offer to help Ko and Nazuna with their relationship. But what they really want, however, are the deets.

Our Take:

Experts will probably say it’s bad for your eyes, but you must watch this show in a dark room. I don’t know what it is about this show specifically, but the way the night sky is animated is absolutely gorgeous. I’m somewhat of a night owl myself, but if I wasn’t, this show would do a good job of convincing me I should be if I got to see sights like that every night.

We aren’t here for the sights alone, though; we’re here for Ko and Nazuna. In case you don’t remember from the first season, Nazuna is a vampire, and Ko wants to become one as well. In Call of the Night, a vampire can only turn a person if they’re in love with them. This means Ko needs to fall in love with Nazuna if he wants to become a vampire. The main problem, however, is that Nazuna and Ko have zero relationship experience.

The other vampires have given Ko and Nazuna a deadline of one year for him to be turned. After that, I expect they plan to kill him. They decide to spend this night talking with him to help understand their situation, but more importantly, they want some gossip. But since these two are hopeless, there isn’t much gossip for them other than Ko and Nazuna playing video games every night.

This episode felt more like a way to dip our toes back in the water of this series. It wasn’t bad or anything great either, but I’m glad that this series is back.
