Overview:
Sachi interrupts Hiro and Nagi’s fake wedding, confusing everyone.
Our Take:
I understand that not being blood-related has become a huge meme in anime culture, but there are times it feels… off. They addressed some of my concerns in this episode. The fact that they grew up as siblings would make a relationship seem odd to most people, but Sachi said that there was something about how Nagi acted that made her feel like they weren’t actually related. I’m sure everyone with siblings can tell you that there was a time they felt like them or their siblings seemed adopted, so that reasoning feels like a cop-out.
It was cute that they all got their own wedding photo shoots, and we got to see some different styles of weddings. I might think that the Sachi and Nagi pairing is a bit problematic, but say what you will, at least there’s progress there. Sachi is on the offensive because I’m sure, with the whole sibling thing, she realizes she will be in last place. She kissed Nagi, and at the very least, it put Ai on notice that maybe she’s been focusing on the wrong rival.
