Adult Swim Unveils Trailer for New Series: ‘Haha, You Clowns’
Adult Swim has released the official trailer for its upcoming series, ‘Haha, You Clowns,’ offering a glimpse into a darkly comedic and emotionally complex story about a family trying to stay together after a devastating loss.
The minute-and-a-half-long trailer sets the stage for a new kind of family comedy for the network, blending genuine emotion with the signature Adult Swim quirk.
The series centers on the Campbell boys and their father, struggling to cope after the passing of their mother. The father expresses his deep fear, noting, “It’s been a tough year for the Campbell boys… I am scared, I’m scared of this family falling apart”.
Despite the grief, the family attempts to “always pull together” leading to a mix of awkward and heartfelt moments. The trailer showcases their attempts at bonding, including a very uncomfortable-looking group massage, with the father asking, “Would you like to get a massage with the four of us?”
True to the Adult Swim style, the trailer balances its heavy premise with unexpected dialogue and oddball humor. In one standout moment, one of the sons initiates a conversation about parental decisions: “I think if I have children, I’m leaning towards circumcising. What about you guys?”
The new series, ‘Haha, You Clowns,’ premieres on Sunday, October 19th at 11:45 p.m. on Adult Swim. For those who prefer streaming, the episodes will be available the next day on HBO Max
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
