South Park Season 27 Blasts Past 6 Million Global Viewers
The second episode of South Park‘s 27th season has reached over 6 million global multi-platform viewers, marking the biggest share in the series’ history. The animated show, which airs on Comedy Central and streams on Paramount+, continues to gain momentum with a significant increase in viewership.
According to ratings provided by Paramount, the second episode of the season saw a double-digit gain in global streaming consumption on Paramount+, increasing by 49% compared to the first three days of the season premiere. The episode also became the highest-rated episode since 2018 on Comedy Central and was the #1 telecast across all cable on the day of its premiere.
The season premiere itself was a major success, garnering 5.9 million cross-platform viewers and achieving its biggest linear season premiere share since 1999. The episode also became the most social South Park episode ever and was the #1 most social program across all of television on its premiere day.
Tune-in Wednesday, August 13th for an exclusive airing of the very first episode, “Cartman Gets an Anal Probe,” at 10 pm ET/PT on Comedy Central and next day on Paramount+ as part of the network’s day-long celebration of “South Park Day”, with season 27 continuing on Wednesday, August 20th.
