OUR TAKE

Hey, looks like Crunchyroll finally got that weird glitch taken care of, because the title and episode synopsis for this week are ACTUALLY THE ONES FOR THIS WEEK’S EPISODE. Hallelujah! Happy Day! Blessed are we! Anyway, this week is pretty much just about Miharu the Vampire, now a permanent resident with the rest of the main cast, fully getting integrated into home life. Like when Keigo was still adjusting only a few weeks ago, Miharu’s foibles and eccentricities take a little while for everyone to get used to as part of their daily lives, but he makes himself stand out right away by seeing that Kanshi, Nico, and Keigo have not really been doing their fair share in terms of chores, apparently because when they tried, things would only get worse. So, Morihito has been the main caretaker (kinda fitting since this is his parents’ house, but still pretty unfair) and does the majority of chores, including cooking, so Miharu tries remedying this by getting everyone else to pitch in and surprise him! It instantly becomes that Community meme of walking in with a pizza to a burning kitchen. Still, the thought put into the gesture does reach Morihito and Miharu finishes his first day at the house on a good note.

The next segment made me think this was just going to be a Miharu centric episode all around, with it focusing just on Miharu dealing with Kanshi taking his usual umbrella and then it getting stolen, so Miharu has to make use of a spell by Nico to keep out of the sunlight by making sure he is in just enough of a bad mood to make a cloud appear above him. This leads to a hilarious series of bits where he has to keep his emotions regulated even as uplifting things happen around him, though one stop is worth noting, as he comes across an aspiring comedy duo who try to make use of their weird looks for their jokes. While the jokes are duds, Miharu finds himself somehow sadder by seeing that these two can make use of their biological differences to pursue their dreams, while his seem to only hinder him. Thankfully he does find the guy who stole the umbrella shortly after, with Kanshi’s help, further emphasizing that he is now among friends. And lastly, there’s a segment about Nemu agreeing to get Wolf in control of Keigo for a bit, but that only leading to being awkward around Keigo until she can show him a crescent moon. Kinda out of place from the other two parts, but it was okay. Now it seems like we have our full cast, at least for the rest of this season, and with ten episodes left to go, I wonder what other antics the show has in store.

Error happened.
