English Dub Review: To Be Hero X “The Last Smile”

Overview:

Nice appears in the middle of Smile and Dragon’s fight. But is he friend or foe?

Our Take(Spoilers):

When it comes to where certain loyalties lie, I have no idea. Nice grew up as a fan of Smile, but it seemed like he was there to help Dragon Boy. It seems like his childhood love of Smile won out because he stuck the syringe containing Fear in it in Dragon Boy. It was confusing because it seemed like it powered him up, and then he got some goo on Smile, which made him go Fear crazy. Smile eventually lost his life, but that was when things got insane.

X showed up and saved Nice, but the animation style changed when he did. It went back to the CGI we saw in the first few episodes, but every time X snapped his fingers, the animation changed. He snapped his fingers and turned Dragon Boy into a piece of paper and threw him in the river. From there, he took the locket from Smile, and for some reason, that gave Rock some clue about X. It seems like X is extremely overpowered, and I don’t see how anyone will be able to stop him.
