One of, if not the biggest, adult animated comedies streaming on Tubi right now isn’t anything made by FOX Entertainment who owns the streamer, nope…it’s a Disney-owned franchise called Brickleberry. The series created by Waco O’Guin and Roger Black is arguably the duo’s most successful series and continues to be so. Almost like what happened to the band Creed and Tiktok videos, the show has found a new resurgence in popularity as it’s arguably the best American-made adult animated comedy on Tubi right now and therefore is increasing in popularity.
For those that don’t know, Brickleberry was an American adult animated sitcom that aired on Comedy Central from 2012 to 2015. Created by Waco O’Guin and Roger Black, with comedian Daniel Tosh serving as an executive producer and a main voice actor, the show centered on the politically incorrect misadventures of a group of dysfunctional national park rangers. The series took place at the fictional Brickleberry National Park, which was on the verge of being shut down due to its poor performance. The show’s premise revolved around the inept head ranger, Woody Johnson, and his team’s attempts to keep the park running, with often disastrous and offensive results.
To help talk about that the show’s aforementioned co-creators have launched a new podcast series that aims to go behind-the-scenes with deep insight for Brickleberry’s defining moments during the show’s airing on Comedy Central. The new podcast is available here via the boys’ recently launched premium video portal on Damnshow.com that will also eventually include new cartoons and an in development animated series in the future.
Will the continued popularity of Brickleberry be enough to warrant a return for the series? It certainly worked for other Disney properties like Futurama and King of the Hill, so it’s not impossible!
