For this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, excited film and television fans dove into the world of entertainment at Impact24 PR’s Panel Superblock Series, the ultimate destination for a behind-the-scenes look at projects like Lil Kev which is streaming it’s entire first season on BET+.
The Impact24 PR Superblock Panel series ended on a hilarious note with the “The Making of LIL KEV from Kevin Hart” panel. Audiences were in for a treat as the panel took them inside the journey of bringing Kevin Hart’s real-life experiences to the screen. The panel featured creators/ executive producers Matthew Claybrooks and Michael Price, producer Allison Morse, art director Amanda Lake, voice actor Jayden Libran (Omar, Junkie, Amethyst Jones, Brian, Kev Understudy), voice actor Kimoy Lee (Dirty Dante, Soupy), supervising director Musa Brooker, and voice actor Nicole Aimee Schreiber (Ms. Green), and was mooderated by comedian/ voice actor Clayton Thomas (“Reverend Mooney”).
Reflecting on how the show is based on Kevin Hart’s childhood, creator/ executive producer Matthew Claybrooks said, “Everything comes from his life. In regard to his neighborhood, Kevin didn’t want to make it seem like he hated living there. That is one of the main things we had to push, to make his neighborhood a fun place. We walked around Philly to appreciate Kevin’s story, and how he got out of that and became this huge star.”
