Overview

Judy joins the cast of a dinner theater production ; Wolf and Honeybee help Moon sell jerky.

Our Take

The entirety of Wolf and Honeybee helping Moon sell jerky seemed, at best, far too dry which actually was a bummer for me given that we have a show where a couple of the male principal characters are named after various cuts of meat, none of whom take part in a premise all about selling jerky.

The far better plot for this week’s episode of The Great North comes with Judy’s contributions which is difficult for me to say because I’ve never been a fan of Jenny Sloan and, by default, Judy, but it makes a bit more sense that this part of the show would be a bit stronger given that the show is produced in Los Angeles where most do not eat meat but then often wonder why anxiety and panic attacks are on the rise in instances like a local theater production meant for local entertainment and spaghetti dinners.

Overall, this week’s episode of The Great North felt a bit disjointed and could’ve definitely been one of those instances where if we removed the jerky bit and focused more on Judy’s tale we probably could’ve had a stronger result.
