Overview:
It is only proper that Kenzaburo commits himself to Grace’s villainous role in the original story. Unfortunately, decades of learned habits are difficult to break.
Our Take:
Kenzaburo has a hard time sticking to being a bad guy. Even when he thinks he’s saying something that will be taken as villainous, it comes out more like constructive criticism. Everyone was surprised when he suggested that Anna (the protagonist of the game) would make a great member of the student council. They thought that since Anna is a commoner that Grace would be upset with her being admitted to the group.
The way the magic system in this works is fairly interesting. When you create a magic circle, the people around you can affect it. If they understand the word you are using to cast the spell and aren’t magically inclined, the results could be disastrous. Since Kenzaburo is from modern-day Japan, he knows a whole language that no one else would know, because of this, he can, of course, cast spells more powerful than anyone else. I thought this was a fun and unique way of explaining how the main character of an isekai becomes OP.
