OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)The mystery is solved!OUR TAKEThat’s case closed on another story arc for Ameku MD, as well as the season as a whole! Picking up from the cliffhanger last time, Ameku lures out a doctor who was actually buying stimulants from Daiki, and even planned to plant some in his father’s study to get him fired, but before this could happen, Daiki died. Ameku’s first guess was that this doctor killed Daiki to shut him up, but when that doctor is arrested, he does admit to wanting to frame Seiji’s father but has no idea how Daiki died during their plan. There is a momentary All is Lost moment between Ameki and Yu as they think on how they may be separated, but that’s when the last piece of the puzzle fits in. As it turns out, the real culprit was…DAIKI HIMSELF! Well, to be specific, his headbutting of Seiji, in conjunction with the stimulants he took, ended up giving him a hemorrhage that only kicked in after he locked himself in the office, as well as flooding his lungs with water. And so, Seiji is finally cleared of suspicion as the prime suspect, making him able to take over for his father, and Yu is allowed to still work with Ameku.I honestly don’t do the best job keeping up with mysteries a lot of the time, even more so when they involve intense medical jargon like this, so I’m not sure how well the reveals clicked into place with previously known information, but I guess I can say it makes sense if you just assume that Ameku simply didn’t notice those details until certain parts were pointed out to her. But that may just describe all of these mysteries if I think that hard on it. As for the story behind the mystery, it was a pretty interesting story of dysfunctional family and one son who turned to crime when life gave him an unfair hand, but I guess I was expecting for Seiji or even his dad to remark on how one of his sons is now dead, but all he seemed to care about was disposing of the body as fast as possible to make his favorite son less suspicious…which only ended up making him look MORE suspicious. But oh well, the show is done, so I don’t have to really think about it anymore. Aside from next week, when I review the whole season!
