Overview:
Mona is stranded with Medaka at the theme park, leading to an important realization.
Our Take:
I realize it’s played up for comedy, but the fact that Mona and Kuroiwa both damaged their phones and dropped them in the fountain in the same way made me roll my eyes. But I wasn’t exactly surprised because we needed them to have more alone time. Asahi was taking a huge lead when it came to time alone with Kuroiwa. It was cute that Kuroiwa wanted to go on the Ferris wheel real bad, so Mona relented and got on with him.
One thing I’ll never understand in romance anime is how a character can not understand when they have feelings for someone. I get that it can be a new feeling, but I remember knowing that I liked a girl way back in elementary school. So, I don’t understand how a girl who is as smart as Mona is has no idea that she has feelings for someone. She might not want to, and I get that, so perhaps if they approached it in a way of her not wanting it to be that way as opposed to having no clue, it wouldn’t bother me as much.
