Rooster Teeth Is Threatening A Revival

By John Schwarz

February 05, 2025

Not even a year after it’s closure, it’s looking like Rooster Teeth is eyeing a potential comeback. The studio once known for animated series like RWBY (now owned by Viz Media), Red vs Blue, and Camp Camp has been acquired by one of the studios’ original founders Burnie Burns. The banner will be a part of Burnie’s Box Canyon Productions.

More information can be seen by a press release that was released that can be read here plus a comedic teaser below.

Our Take

Rooster Teeth still has a lot of value as an online-only brand with a YouTube channel that has close to 10 million subscribers, so with this acquisition it means Burnie can work on producing new and original series inspired by the network’s legendary animation catalog not-named RWBY.

ABOUT BOX CANYON
